Our Impact: The Heart of 868
At 868 Estate Vineyards, we believe that great wine tastes even better when it serves a greater purpose. From the very beginning, our mission has extended beyond the vines to support the vibrant, resilient community that surrounds us.
Through live music, local art, and community partnerships, we are proud to foster connection and give back to the place we call home.
The Resounding Good Series
Three Festivals. Three Missions.
🎸 NoVA MusicFest (held Memorial Day Sunday)
- Supporting: Cancer Can Rock
- Our Impact: Over $90,000 raised in six years.
- The Mission: Helping musicians facing cancer diagnoses navigate their challenges and continue creating the music they love.
🌱 A Fest Less Ordinary (held early to mid June)
- Supporting: A Farm Less Ordinary
- Our Impact: $14,000 raised in our very first year!
- The Mission: Supporting employment and community for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities through sustainable agriculture.
🥁 LoCo Fest (held Labor Day Sunday)
- Supporting: Local community programs, schools, and independent musicians through our non-profit LoCo Music Inc.
- Our Impact: $120,000 in music equipment grants awarded over the past 9 years, including to Trailside Middle School, Park View High School, Heritage High School, A Place to Be, and numerous musicians in our community.
- The Mission: Ensuring local schools and rising musicians have the tools, instruments, and funding they need to keep the music playing in Loudoun County.
Keeping the Arts Alive
Beyond our festivals, 868 serves as a year-round hub for classical music, visual arts, and culture.
🎨 The Tasting Room Art Gallery
Our support for the local community is on display every day—literally. The walls of our Tasting Room double as a rotating art gallery dedicated exclusively to regional artists.
- Our Impact: Over the past 14 years, we have helped local artists sell $74,000 of original artwork, with 100% of the focus on celebrating and sustaining local creative talent.
🎻 Appalachian Chamber Music Festival
For the past three years, we have been honored to serve as a venue host for the Appalachian Chamber Music Festival. By bringing world-class classical musicians into our relaxed, scenic setting, we help make high-quality chamber music accessible, engaging, and deeply rooted in local history and nature.
